LFW – Day 2 – Fashion Week Buzz!

LFW Summer Resort 2012′s Day 1 was exciting already and Day 2 left us drooling for more! Well, we’d be liying if we say we don’t wish to make it all ours! So here’s a low-down on our favourites from LFW day 2!

The afternoon began with Suhani Pittie, like always, wowing us with her ‘Child of Eden’ collection. Now we exactly know why she is enlisted as one of the most inventive jewellery designers by the World Gold Council. The contemporary neckpieces and cuffs stunningly meshed with white and black ensembles! The belt on this look is edgy yet can be worn with many subtle, low-key looks!

Mineral by Priyadarshini Rao felt like a beachside vacation already. Floral prints, bright neon colours mixed with pastels, girly corsages – all spelled summer! We are not a fan of the entire look but we heart the skirt on this look – so beach-chic/boho and very wearable!

Huemn by Pranav Misra and Shyma Shetty showcased subtle colours with intricate embroidery details and we loved the low-key jacket and these tapering trousers! So wearable chic! This entire ensemble made us go OMG! A total must-have for a prim-n-propah social do! The tapering trousers are made for the perfect long legs though. A gazillion squat reps at the gym and these trousers will fit like a glove.

Little Shilpa & Nitin Bal Chauhan showcased their Disney Couture Minnie and Mickey Mouse inspired collection! This much awaited collection created all the buzz on Day 2 with her take on famous Disney cartoon! Super-sized mickey neckpieces and the mouse-eared shoulders, we loved! We definitely are not going to look at Mickey Mouse the same way again!  We especially love this red ensemble – The shoulders are very Gaga like and we can’t wait to see her in it.

The last but certainly not the least – The most anticipated show of the day – Bibhu Mohapatra! His aesthetically tailored silhouettes in olives, pastels, oranges and whites had the crowd’s jaw dropping! We just couldn’t get enough of you Monsieur le Mohapatra! Indeed a grand close to another day of excitement! We want to make all his pieces magically disappear – but this shimmery olive green silhouette had us at HELLO!
