Day 1: Lakme Fashion Week!

 As predicted by us, Day 1 at Lakme Fashion Week was really bright! Green and pink dominated and it was an easy flowing day with very wearable pieces of garments to grace the ramp!

The Gen Next designers definitely impressed us  and we also had Masaba and Sailex, Shivan and Narresh, Vikram Phadnis and a finale by James Ferreira. All in all, even with all the work and hassle, we really enjoyed ourselves.

This was a lovely collection. So much green and the graceful flow of the dresses are enough to make us fall in love with it. A great use of color and texture.

The designers couldn’t wait to inject us with the colors of spring. In lime green and pink, we were dreaming of summer as these garments went by us. We are expecting a very stylish Indian summer by the looks of this! Imagine everyone wearing these garments! We could put New York, Paris and London to shame!

And then we had the traditional saris that were given an electric, modern twist. In many colors and even more drapes, it gave this traditional piece of garment a new feel.

Now that’s what fashion weeks are all about!!
